Since 2006, the personal injury firm has supported the Mary Bridge Festival of Trees, a charitable event that raises money for the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.

This year, TCLMDS sponsored a tree entitled “Christmas in Deer Valley.” The tree featured a custom designed, laser-cut snowflake topper by California artist Kathryn Hedges, snowflake ornaments handmade from repurposed clock hands, and steampunk “snowbird” ornaments created by Hawaiian artist FristonHo’okano.

The gifts under the tree included two 4-day Ski Salt Lake Super Passes for four world-class ski resorts in Deer Valley, Utah, and two gift certificates from Delta Air.

Over 12,000 people saw the tree when it went on display at the Tacoma Convention Center on December 1 and 2. The tree was auctioned off at the Gala, where it was sold for over market value. The buyers were Diane Cecchettini (president and CEO of MultiCare) and Frank Scroggins.

After the public viewing period ended, the tree was relocated to its new home at the Auburn Medical Center atrium.

The funds raised from this year’s festival will be used to continue improving the Children’s Hospital’s newly expanded emergency department and the Tree House, a temporary housing facility for families of patients at Mary Bridge.
