The Insurance Fair Conduct Act became effective on December 6, 2007. The Insurance Fair Conduct Act provides policy holders with legal remedies. Statutes in the Insurance Fair Conduct Act allow you to seek damages against your insurance company if you are not treated fairly. Potential Lawsuits
Do you plan to sue your insurance company? You must notify your insurance company and the Office of the Insurance Commissioner by mail. They must be notified 20 days before you file your lawsuit.
