Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I know if I need a lawyer?
You will probably need a lawyer if you have been seriously injured or wronged in some way, either by a defective product, a business, an insurance company, or even an individual, including professionals. We provide free consultation to determine the facts of your case and your legal rights, and we evaluate your damages and whether they can be recovered.

  2. When can I expect to recover money for my damages?
Every case is different. The only way to determine whether you will be entitled to a recovery and the likelihood that recovery will take place at any point in time is to have the case thoroughly evaluated. Depending on the type of case, it may be a simple matter to resolve it directly with the insurance company with the correct law and information being presented to the company. Insurance companies do not always agree with our evaluation of the case, and it may be necessary to file a lawsuit to collect your damages. Although court dockets indicate that trial dates are being scheduled more than a year out from the date of filing the Complaint, most cases are settled long before trial. Our goal is to resolve the case as economically and efficiently as we can to avoid significant costs to you and to maximize your recovery.

  3. What will it cost to hire you?
We represent personal injury claimants on a contingent fee basis. That means you pay a fee only if we win, and you pay no fees if we lose. In the State of Washington, we are obliged to inform you, that you are responsible for costs incurred, but costs do not include attorney fees, and the costs are usually paid from any settlement or judgment entered against the person responsible for your damage or injury. The law firm generally advances costs so that the case can be properly prepared and presented for settlement or trial.

  4. Why should I hire you as my attorney?
Our firm has the highest rating (AV) for ability and ethics in our profession. We have over 30 years experience in many of the areas of law listed in the practice area section of this web site. In short, the firm has enjoyed substantial success as a result of hard work by excellent attorneys.
